Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up.

Vision

“Where there is no vision, the people perish . . .” Proverbs 29: 18a. The Bible’s direction is clear: we need to have a dream, a vision, a picture, a direction from God or we perish in the chaos! Our Vision—New life with God; deepening our Christian discipleship.

We also need a goal; something to aim at; a focus for our God-given gifts and energy. In short, a mission that calls to us. Our mission–sharing God’s joy by serving the community, each other and God.

The Pumpkins are coming!  Mini-pumpkins, pie pumpkins and all sizes galore!  The Pumpkin Patch is opening on Saturday, October 16 thru October 30, 2021.  The hours of the Pumpkin Patch are M – F from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and weekends 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Pumpkin Patch supports the local outreach ministries of the church.  Please support our Pumpkin Patch and bring your family, friends and neighbors!  All are welcome!  For more info call 904-797-4416 or visit www.shoresumc.org.

Attendees will be asked to sign in as they enter the Narthex.  Masks are optional for those who are fully vaccinated.  Maximum seating is 70.   You may sit with your family or close friends of your choosing.  The chairs should remain as they are arranged.

Masks are optional for those who are fully vaccinated however per Annual Conference recommendation “we urge the use of masks in indoor settings, as an expression of our love for our neighbor and as the fulfillment of the law of Christ (Galatians 5:14.)” Social distancing is still being observed at indoor worship services. We know that we still have members of our church family who are most comfortable with worshiping from their homes.  We will continue to videotape the 8:45 am worship service and post it online and on our Facebook page on Sunday afternoon.  Thank you for your understanding and grace as we continue to do our best to keep everyone in our congregation and employ, safe and healthy.   Blessings to you and your family and see you in church!
