Better a little with the fear of the Lord than great wealth with turmoil.

April 6, 2020

Bishop Carter has asked that the United Methodist Church not have public services for the month of April, therefore there will be NO PUBLIC WORSHIP at Shores United Methodist Church until further notice.  We will have sermons available online. Please be sure to go to our website at www.shoresumc.org.

Easter Sunday please be sure to watch Pastor Carolyn’s online service.  Have a bell with you so you we can all ring in the “GOOD NEWS!”

In addition all meetings and Bible Studies are canceled until further notice.

The After School Program and S.W.A.G. are canceled until further notice.

Children’s Choir and Children Exploring LIFE are canceled until September.

Good Friday Service at First United Methodist Church on April 10th is canceled.

The Easter Egg Hunt and Brunch on April 11th is cancelled.

Dine With Nine Picnic on Sunday, April 26, 2020 is cancelled.

THE CHURCH OFFICE IS CLOSED TO EVERYONE. If you need something please leave a message and Susan will respond daily to you.  Everyone can pray in place for those in need. Let us know if you have, or know of a prayer concern or need. We are your Church Family and you are loved and missed.  We look forward to being together again soon.

Shores United Methodist Church is asking everyone to stop at noon daily and pray…for the Great Healer to intercede, for the sick, the medical professionals, the caregivers, the decision-makers, and those who are scared!  Call or FaceTime a friend and pray with them on the phone. God is in control!

Vision

“Where there is no vision, the people perish . . .” Proverbs 29: 18a. The Bible’s direction is clear: we need to have a dream, a vision, a picture, a direction from God or we perish in the chaos! Our Vision—New life with God; deepening our Christian discipleship.

We also need a goal; something to aim at; a focus for our God-given gifts and energy. In short, a mission that calls to us. Our mission–sharing God’s joy by serving the community, each other and God.
