He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

Vision

“Where there is no vision, the people perish . . .” Proverbs 29: 18a. The Bible’s direction is clear: we need to have a dream, a vision, a picture, a direction from God or we perish in the chaos! Our Vision—New life with God; deepening our Christian discipleship.

We also need a goal; something to aim at; a focus for our God-given gifts and energy. In short, a mission that calls to us. Our mission–sharing God’s joy by serving the community, each other and God.

Thank you to everyone who attended the outdoor worship service on Fathers’ Day and participated in our poll regarding the 9:00 am worship service.   Based on the results, our Church Council approved moving the 9:00 am service indoors, beginning July 4, 2021. No reservations are necessary.  Masks are optional for those who are fully vaccinated and social distancing is still being observed at indoor worship services. We acknowledge your comments that social distancing may seem unnecessary, yet we will continue to abide by the recommendations to all United Methodist churches in the Florida Conference, by Bishop Ken Carter and his Appointive Cabinet. You are welcome to visit, chat, and greet each other in the parking lot or in your homes, if you feel comfortable. We know that we still have members of our church family who are most comfortable with worshiping from their homes.  We will continue to videotape the 9:00 am worship service and post it online and on our Facebook page on Sunday afternoon. Pastor Carolyn would like to extend special thanks to everyone who attended our drive-in worship services.  It was a year-long learning experiment. We believe was an effective way to provide a meaningful worship experience and connect our Christian family, when it was simply too risky and dangerous to hold an indoor worship service.  We will miss the horns honking your holy Amens!   Thank you to the musicians who shared their gifts outside and all those who assisted with the set-up, take-down, technical equipment, and figured out how to usher in a parking lot! Thank you for your understanding and grace as we continue to do our best to keep everyone in our congregation and employ, safe and healthy. Blessings to you and your family and see you in church!
